Powerful mindset woman

There will always be challenges and disappointments in life. When we lack confidence in ourselves, we might see these difficulties as too great to overcome and quit before we even begin.

On the other hand, believing in yourself unleashes the greatest weapon you need to face any adversity head-on: a powerful mindset.

Having the best instructors and the most advanced self-defense training in the world is meaningless if you do not have the confidence in your ability to stand up to and survive an attack.

In this post, let's discover what might be holding you back from believing in yourself and unleashing a powerful mindset.

1. I am valuable and deserving of protection.

Self-esteem differs significantly among individuals. For some, the idea of protecting human worth may be clear, while for others, it's not as apparent. This is frequently the situation for individuals who have encountered significant mental, physical, and/or emotional abuse or bullying. Individuals experiencing low self-esteem, a pessimistic view of their future, and a sense of insignificance. Body language can reveal low self-esteem, suggesting that the individual may struggle to assert themselves or defend their boundaries. Individuals with low self-esteem are at a higher risk of experiencing bullying, abuse, human trafficking, and abduction. Self-worth plays a crucial role in developing a strong productive mindset.

You are valued and deserving of protection, regardless of your history or experiences. You deserve to have your voice heard and you are truly worth fighting for. Remember, your worth is not defined by others or your past experiences. Building self-worth is a process and a journey. Begin by recognizing that your worth is not dependent on external factors such as past experiences, achievements, or appearance. This quality is inherent, a part of your being, and cannot be stripped away. Recognizing your true worth is a vital to believing in yourself and developing the mindset needed to successfully protect yourself.

and physical health. You cannot talk like a failure

and expect to be successful.” - Germany Kent

2. I am accountable for safeguarding myself.

The next mental obstacle you may face to believing in yourself and developing the necessary mindset is responsibility. Why is it necessary to learn self-defense? As a woman, why do I remain a target for violence! Why can't society change? Sadly, throughout human history, there has always been individuals who are willing to harm others, and no science, society, or activist has been able to find a solution to this issue.

Only you hold the power to control and protect yourself. It's crucial to acquire self-defense skills and incorporate preventive habits into your daily routine to ensure your safety. Developing the necessary knowledge and skills to take charge of your own safety boosts your self-worth and self-assurance. This process...your journey to being empowered, is truly beautiful!

3. I can defend myself.

The social conditioning we receive from childhood, that boys are allowed to be aggressive and girls should nurture, creates a behavior pattern that we carry into adulthood. However, this pattern is being crushed by the women of the 21st Century.
It's safe to say as a woman, your assailant will always be bigger and stronger.  So what! Properly trained techniques, timing and leverage can over come brute strength. Awareness, knowledge, and your mindset (your greatest tool) will eliminate your fears. If properly trained, self-defense strategies and skills play a vital role in preventing and protecting yourself from mental, physical, and emotional abuse.

4. Speaking of fear.

Fear prevents you from fully embracing a life of freedom, fulfillment, and independence. Fear is the opposite of living and hinders your ability to believe in yourself and to develop the mindset you need to successfully protect yourself. When feeling fearful, you appear and behave in a way that can makes you a target for criminals.

Preparation breeds confidence, which equips us to navigate the world's uncertainties with greater ease and reduces the likelihood of encountering them. By understanding yourself and your surroundings, familiarizing yourself with attackers' tactics, and acquiring self-defense skills, you gain confidence and competence that deter wrongdoers.

"Fear isn't an excuse to come to a standstill.

It is the impetus to stand up and strike" -Arthur Ashe

Life is full of risks, but your mindset can determine whether you succumb to them or overcome them. This marks the crucial distinction between success and failure. Your role as a protector is to view yourself as the champion, the one who perseveres, the one who triumphs in your life - and then equip yourself with all the essential physical and tactical abilities at your disposal.
