Are your workouts no longer enjoyable for you, more like a chore to cross off your to-do list? Fear not—we've all been there!

Here are some pointers to help you create an exercise routine that you will love and stick to:

1. Practice self-kindness

Whether you're brand-new to exercising or attempting to resume your workout routine after a break, be careful to set realistic objectives. Exercise might become less pleasurable if the bar is set too high because doing so can lead to disappointment or excessive self-pressure. Give yourself some time to get used to the way you workout. Never forget that you can always start from where you are, and that investing the time to lay a strong foundation today will pay off later on.

2. Establish a schedule

If you want to stick to your workout regimen consistently, make a schedule. Set aside specific days of the week that you know you can commit to.  Whatever schedule you choose, it's a good idea to customize it to your requirements, tastes, and goals—even if that means going to the gym only once a week. It will be lot simpler to fall in love with fitness again!

3. Establish a some goals

Consider what it is you want to accomplish that will make you feel proud of yourself. Is it performing a press-up with excellent form? Is it participating in a 5k? Is it learning a style of martial arts? Is it going to the gym three times a week on a regular basis? Your objectives will guide the way that you approach your training.

4. Follow your passion

Every method of moving your body is acceptable, whether it be dancing, lifting weights, walking, jogging, or participating in sports. It's essential to choose physical activities that you like to do in order to stay active and maintain your fitness. If you're unsure of your interests, don't panic; you can take this opportunity to try different things and discover what you enjoy doing.

5. Work out with a friend.

Another way to increase the satisfaction of exercise is to work out with a friend or partner.  It can be intimidating to start something new or resume your fitness routine. Having accountability and support from someone else is extremely helpful on your fitness journey.

6. Make sure that you get enough sleep.

Try to get enough rest in between your workouts to avoid overtraining.  Overtraining can lead to injuries.  Listen to your body, take a step back, and modify your training to suit your needs when you have a workout scheduled on a day that you're feeling low on energy.

7. Modify how you see things

Fitness can and ought to be enjoyable! Your workouts will be more enjoyable if you focus on all of the positives things  you have to gain by exercising.   Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.

Zumba class

There are many different ways to stay in shape, so don't force yourself to perform activities that will not help you fall in love with fitness again. Have a passion for dancing? Try out some Zumba classes. Do you like to compete? How about hitting some badminton or tennis with a friend? The surest path to falling in love with fitness is to discover an activity you actually adore.

Remember that it will take some time to adjust while beginning a new fitness regimen or regaining your level of fitness. It's normal to worry about what other people might think of of you as you begin or begin again, but keep in mind that everyone started out as a beginner.

Try not to compare yourself to other people; instead, concentrate on where you are right now and acknowledge all of your accomplishments along your journey. Instead of waiting till you reach your ultimate goals, try to enjoy the process of improving your abilities, developing better habits, and enjoying the wonderful advantages of exercise—you've got this!
